About Alicia
Throughout almost twenty years of practice as an attorney, my focus has been on complex motion practice, legal research and writing, and appellate law. Before starting Curtis Law, PLLC, I worked in a mid-size Maine law firm representing victims and families harmed by defective products, truck crashes, medical malpractice, workplace injuries, and other negligence. I have significant experience handling insurance coverage disputes that arise in plaintiffs’ personal injury cases.
My deep knowledge of the law and interest in contributing to the bar is reflected in numerous publications and CLE presentations. I am a co-author of the forthcoming 2025 edition of Maine Tort Law. I also serve as co-chair of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association’s Amicus Committee, which provides ‘friend of the court’ briefs in select appeals.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to collaborate on cases resulting in eight figure verdicts or settlements. I enjoy working with other attorneys to overcome complex procedural and legal challenges. No matter the size of the case, my focus is always on helping clients obtain the justice they deserve through compassionate and skillful advocacy.
